Yes, I think many phonics programs can help children learn English. I have had a few transfer students who only spoke Spanish move into our area and attend my school. Our phonics lessons were very helpful in teaching them the way we say the letters and the sounds they make in English. Blending these letters and sounds into words is a key step to reading success. I use phonics everyday at my preschool. We work with 244 four and five-year-old children. We have an extremely high reading success rate.
