My son is 10. I need some kind of help with his beginning sounds and his reading to understand. If there are any kind of CDs or books that I can get to help him, please let me know.

Even though he is 10, I think that phonics could still help him. In some programs, there is a CD that helps associate a sound with every letter and there are simple phonetic books that apply right away. Another resource might be to visit a local teacher supply store and pick out workbooks (some of them come with CD ROM work disks) that are grade level specific, not age specific. You would need to evaluate exactly what grade level he is on, and then get materials that are good for his level of learning.
