College Student

I am a college student that never learned about phonics. I have had problems hearing certain sounds and making them. Can this program help me?

Yes, I think this program could help you in two ways. First, there are musical CDs that says each letter sound. Hearing on the CD could be just thing to help retrain your ears to hear the proper sounds of each letter. And secondly, reviewing phonetic structure and placement will be able to help you remember the sounds in their purest forms. This will help you remember the phonetic rules before you have to consider the exceptions. (English has plenty of exceptions, but also plenty of rules that apply. If you learn the rules, then the exceptions can be absorbed more easily.)

Just some food for thought. When you learn a foreign language–the first step is to learn what the phonetic sounds of that language are and how they fit together. English is not different. We need to learn the phonetic structure of the language and then we’ll have the sound tools necessary to crack the language code. Hope this helps! Good luck.
