Begin Blogging:
Instructions on how to blog and if you
sign up for the One-on-One program then
we would love for you to write about us
and provide a link back to our site, or
our collaborated blog -

Getting set up for you own
weblog is simple and is as easy as email,
once you try it. So don't be afraid! For
convenience, we suggest that you start
by downloading the latest Google toolbar
to your Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser.
http://toolbar.google.com/
(The blogging tool will be permanently
set up on your internet browser with the
toolbar.)
- System Requirements for Google Toolbar
- Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version
5 or later
Once the toolbar is in place,
click on the Orange B in your Internet
Explorer browser (see below) then click
Find Out More and sign up with
4 easy steps below.
[If you have other systems
such as a Mac or Netscape browser then
you will not be able to use the Google
Toolbar, however you can still visit http://new.blogger.com/user_new/user_new.pyra
and keep a weblog of your phonics One-on-One
coaching program. For more help on blogging
we suggest visit http://new.blogger.com/user_new/user_new.pyra
then sign up for a free account and just
follow the directions. Upon completion
of signing up you will need to create
a new blog. (Right column, blue box >>
Click on Create a new blog)]

There are 4 steps to
blogging:
Step 1
Make sure the blog is public.
Step 2
If you have your own web server you can
host your blog there otherwise BlogSpot
will host it for you.
Step 3
Name it what ever you want.
Example http://learn-to-read.blogspot.com
We prefer that you name it to educational
terms such as: phonics-learning, learn-to-read,
phonics4children...
Step 4
If you understand HTML, you can easily modify
these templates
Congratulations, you've set
up your own personal blog or glorified guestbook
that only you can access. Write something
down then Post & Publish and practice.
You can always delete your postings.
With every posting in the
future we ask that that you visit us at
www.phonics.com
first and then launch your blogger. That
way the link back to our site will automatically
be placed in log entry. See image below:
