Phone Skills

Monday, April 27th, 2009

When you own your own business, it is important to have excellent customer service skills over the phone. You are going to need to be able to answer questions and stay calm with angry or frustrated customers. This is the only instance where working as a telemarketer may pay off. I worked as a telemarketer for about a year until I couldn’t stand it anymore, but now I am much better at speaking clearly and calmly on the telephone. If you are hoping to open your own business and want to work on your customer service skills and sales skills, perhaps you should consider working as a telemarketer for a while if you are currently looking for a job.

Use A Lawyer

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Lawyers are the only people qualified to give you legal advice. Paralegals, or the neighbor who has filed a case similar to yours, do not qualify as people you should be receiving advice from. In fact, by receiving legal advice from someone not qualified you may be putting any chance you have of winning a case on the line. Sometimes you can mess up your case before it even starts. The legal system is extremely intense and complicated, which is why to become an attorney you need to study for multiple years. Next time you need legal advice, contact an attorney. Many will give you a free consultation.

Moderation In Everything

Friday, April 24th, 2009

When thinking about nutrition, most people assume that the more the better when it comes to vitamins. Just like everything else in regards to your body, moderation is always the best policy. You should never have too much fat or sugar, but you do need some. The same concept applies to vitamins and minerals. You need to make sure you are getting enough, but you shouldn’t over do it because you may be harming your body. For instance, many people take loads of vitamin C to prevent colds or get over one. It is definitely important to get plenty of vitamin C, but too much can harden your arteries, leading to heart problems.

Healthcare Costs

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Healthcare costs are rising rapidly. Some people think a lot of it has to do with malpractice attorneys, and that may be true, but at the same time they could be rising because medical appliances and facilities are increasing rapidly in cost because our technology is getting so advanced. For instance, it costs quite a bit more to make an advanced surgical robot than it does to make a scalpel. Technology is rapidly making huge strides in medicine, but those huge strides do not come for nothing. We are all essentially paying a premium on healthcare for new technologies.
